Kunje Hydroelectric Power Station Rehabilitation in Angola

Kunje Hydroelectric Power Station Rehabilitation in Angola

CME Angola, a ProCME group company, was responsible for rehabilitating and expanding Kunje hydroelectric power station (2 MW) and building MV 30 kV and LV electricity distribution networks to serve Camacupa and Catabola.

Starting up the power station, equipped with 3 cross-flow turbines with a total installed power of 1.8 MVA, makes it possible to supply electricity to the population in a safe and sustainable way, eliminating diesel generators. This is a major contribution from Angola's government, which is committed to ensuring an increase in clean energies in Angola, in order to reduce carbon emissions.
